Vyrgyrym is the name of a low budget satano-pagan sex-cult film illustrating obscure underground rituals of an unknown eastern-European country. In the language of that country, "vyrgyrym" translates literally to "worm," but in slang usage refers to the penis. A pale, vile creature. The film, country, language, and word "vyrgyrym" were all the product of a dream I had the night of 3 january 2021, and now it is the name of this musical project.

This album is essentially about looking for spirituality or connection to something unknown, not knowing if that thing exists. Reaching into the dark and hoping to find something there.

Recorded at home in Bozeman, MT.

Music/etc. is by Cedar Mathers-Winn, except "In the Quiet Mists of Morning," which was written by a schoolteacher named Chris Culbert in the 1960s, and since seems to have been slowly making its way into the oral tradition.
